At Blazing Trail Rides, the experience begins before you ever hit the trail. Your two-hour experience is designed to give you time to meet your horse, get comfortable in the saddle, and enjoy a scenic guided horseback ride through the beautiful Van Etten Farm.
When you arrive, you’ll have the opportunity to meet your horse and get acquainted with your new riding partner. Your horse will be selected based on your riding experience, height, and weight to help make your experience as safe and enjoyable as possible.
Before heading out on the trail, you’ll spend some time in the indoor arena. Beginners will receive instruction on the basics of riding, while more experienced riders will have an opportunity to get comfortable with their horse. Time is also allowed to get everyone mounted and make any necessary stirrup adjustments for safety and comfort. Once everyone is ready, it’s time to head out on the trail!
The trail ride itself is over an hour, giving you plenty of time to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Ride through open fields, rolling farmland, and peaceful wooded trails while taking in the quiet beauty of nature.
And throughout your experience, your guide will take photos of you and your group using an iPhone camera. After your ride, the photos will be sent to you at no additional cost. It’s our way of helping you capture the experience and giving you something to look back on long after your ride is over.
Whether you’re an experienced rider or have never been on a horse before, you’re welcome at Blazing Trail Rides. The goal is to provide a relaxing, enjoyable experience where you can unplug, get outside, meet some wonderful horses, and simply enjoy the ride.
And before you leave, don’t forget to give your horse a well-deserved treat!
